Terry Bryan Fitness was founded in 1993 by its namesake, Terry Bryan. Since its inception 28 years ago Terry Bryan Fitness has been instrumental in helping thousands of clients turn their lives around for the better.
Terry’s personal story is one of inspiration and perseverance. After completion of his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Cincinnati he relocated to California.
There he discovered a penchant for weightlifting. After receiving the devastating news that his father had died by suicide, Terry chose to take that grief and loss to the gym and work through it daily.
This type of life altering loss, often, leaves those in its wake negative behaviors to numb or survive the pain.
Terry chose a different path. He went on to develop a true passion for powerlifting. He quickly discovered the adrenaline and physical satisfaction of sessions helped him process the trauma of his father’s death.
Throughout this healing process, Terry fell in love with powerlifting and began to compete. What was originally a coping mechanism, then hobby, turned into a semi-professional career. Terry went on to national events winning back-to-back strong man competitions. He retains a world record – squatting 1100 pounds, which has yet to be broken.
After completing an internship with Meterex Supplement Company,
Terry returned to Cincinnati to fulfill his goal of opening a gym.
His business of transformation — bringing clients to embrace physical, emotional and mental acuity for life continues.
Cheers to your health!
